My Caveats

  • First, I use the term 30 days loosely. I do not intend to stay in for 30 nights straight. I'll take a few breaks in between -- date nights with my husband, dinner out with the family, time with friends, etc. -- but no takeout at home, I promise.

  • My children are the pickiest kids ever. More than likely they will only be eating parts of these meals. For example: when I toss a salad they usually like the ingredients separately, but will not eat it tossed together. So, I serve it to them separately on the side without the lettuce and dressing (like apples, craisins, oranges, blue cheese, feta, almonds, etc.).

  • This is definitely not a themed blog like healthy recipes or quick-and-easy recipes. Some will be healthy and some will be quick and easy. They will definitely all be different.

  • Since I'm doing this for fun, I'm not using my best editor's eye. The tone is informal and off the top of my head as if I were talking to you rather than writing an article. I'm usually writing this after cooking and cleaning up from dinner so I'm a little weary. I apologize in advance for the typos and rambles.

  • Lastly, I'm not opposed to leftovers for dinner. If I make a big casserole or lasagna, we're more than likely eat it again the next night or the next.

  • Wish me luck!
